I think it’s borderline child abuse to allow a young child to witness its mother giving birth. Who agrees
I was watching natural birth videos on Youtube, and people were basically making their young children (ranging in age from 2 to ten) watch them give birth to a sibling. I think that is horrible! You wouldn’t let your child watch you get your appendix removed, and yeah yeah birth is natural, but so is sex, and you wouldn’t let your kid watch you do that. In several of the videos the kids looked scared, and one kid was crying. That could seriously traumatize a child. The mom’s are all bloody and screaming. I think it is pure selfishness on the mother’s part; she’s all wrapped up her “Oh this is so wonderful, this is so natural” speil, that she forgets to realize that, hey, no child needs to see his mom in horrible pain with blood squirting everywhere. Not to mention that’ll be the first and only time for a long time a male kid will see a vagina. Way to make him have a weird complex about it. I don’t know why this made me so mad but it did.
You are 100% right. I watched my older sister give birth when I was 12. It really was tramatic!!! I swore that I would never have kids. At least I have a vagina though. Those poor boys are not supposed to see this even more than us girls. I have friends that actually WANT the boy in the room…this is sick to me. I will never understand.
